What to expect?

The journey will largely be up to you. You will have options to focus on the practices themselves or to go deeper by engaging their history through the study of texts. You will be able to approach the practices broadly, or dive deeper into dimensions that suit you the best.

Some of these practices will require work over a period of time, with regular check-ins together. Some can be transmitted more quickly to an experienced meditator.

The ultimate goal is for you to have full autonomy with these practices at the end of our journey together.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

What is the history behind those practices?

While most meditative traditions claim an unbroken transmission from their original founders, the history of meditation practices is a challenge to trace. Like the arts, it is a living practice that only exists within the lives of a generation. Unlike the arts, it cannot be preserved and often disappears with little traces. The few traces available to us are meditation manuals, manuscripts, and texts on the life and sayings of great meditation masters.

The majority of practices I offer were transmitted to me by living teachers. Most of the these protocols come from the Buddhist meditation tradition, which is the tradition I was trained in. They will be presented to you in either a Buddhist framework or a non-religious framework based on your personal choice.

Other practices are not taught anymore and would be lost if it were not for a few remaining manuals in which they were recorded. I am engaged in research work to revive and share access to these lost practices. Of course this is not without challenges, and I plan to write more about this in the near future.
